Child Care Provider Certification

Application Process for Limited Certification

Below are the steps to follow to apply to have a friend or relative become a Limited Child Care Provider. There are two types of Limited Certification and home inspections, as described below. Call (216) 987-8388 to receive an application for Limited Certification.

OHIO ELECTRONIC CHILDCARE SWIPE CARD

Ohio ECC Swipe Card
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (locally known as the Cuyahoga County Department of Employment and Family Services) implemented a new Electronic Child Care system called Ohio ECC. Parents/Guardians will be in charge of reporting their child's attendance using this swipe card with a card reading device that all providers must have. Any questions about the ECC Swipe Card should be directed to the Ohio ECC Caretaker Helpline at 1-888-796-4322.
