Winter brings with it lower temperatures and higher utility bills that many families have difficulty paying.  There are services that can help.  The following utility assistance programs are available during this winter season.

Winter Reconnect Order (WRO)

The WRO was signed by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio on September 22, 2010. The effective dates are October 18, 2010 through April 15, 2011. If utility service has been disconnected, the company may charge up $36.00 reconnection fee. Some utility companies will collect the fee up front while others may bill the entire fee on the following month’s utility bill.
